It is the latest BRPL initiative under its DSM initiatives where consumers can replace their existing conventional fans with energy efficient BLDC Fans at a discounted price of upto 89% on MRP.

BLDC Fan technology is energy efficient and helps in cost-cutting over electricity bills. A Brushless Direct Current motor (BLDC) functions on direct-current electricity. BLDC motors contain permanent magnets rather than electromagnets used in induction motors. The permanent magnet contains less heat loss and energy compared to electromagnets. That works at power fluctuations and on low voltage.

• Traditional Ceiling fans run on AC motors. Yet, fans with BLDC technology use brushless DC engines that cut power consumption by approx 65%.
• BLDC winding has thick copper cables to ensure a longer lifespan with low winding issues. These fans do not get overheated.
• The carbon brushes are absent from the rotor and the stator of the BLDC fan. Hence, there is no hidden maintenance cost involved in the replacement of brushes.
• BLDC fans maintain high torque to secure high-quality performance.
• An induction motor has carbon bruises that create friction, which creates noise. A BLDC fan has zero friction, hence creating minimal noise.

The scheme is valid for 3 years on first come first serve basis. Total 15000 fans are available under the scheme. Scheme offers both Remote controlled and electronic controlled Regulator fans.

• All BRPL domestic consumers are eligible to replace their ceiling fans under the scheme.
• To be eligible under the scheme, consumer should not be having any pending bills (both electricity and enforcement)

The scheme is only replacement scheme where the domestic consumers can replace their existing old fans with new BLDC Fans.

• Domestic residential consumers can apply upto 3 BLDC fans under the scheme.
• Domestic Non - residential consumers can also apply under the scheme. They have to contact BRPL DSM department before applying under the scheme.

BRPL have tied up with 4 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and they are

• Halonix Technologies Private Ltd,
• Atomberg Technologies Private Limited,
• Kent RO System Pvt Ltd and
• Adhunik Switchgears Private Limited.

Any BSES Rajdhani Power Limited domestic consumer can avail the scheme and replace their conventional old ceiling fans. BLDC fans can be purchased through

Registration through online BRPL DSM Portal:

ii) Select “FAN Replacement Scheme” under “WHAT’S NEW” Tab.
iii) Please click “Click here for registration” tab below the “Scheme Flyer”
     a) by clicking on the scrolling web banner of FAN Replacement Scheme on our home page.
iv) You are directly routed to registration page
a. by clicking on the scrolling web banner of FAN Replacement Scheme on our home page https://www.bsesdelhi.com/web/brpl/home.
b. Please click “Click here for registration” below the list of BLDC Fans which are available under the scheme.
v) For first time registration on BRPL DSM Portal, consumers have to input their details such as “Name, CA No, Email, Mobile” for registration and click Register Button by selecting DISCOM as “BRPL”.
vi)An OTP will be sent to the given mobile number during registration process to complete the registration.
vii)Once Registration is completed, consumers can login directly to the DSM portal and follow these steps to complete their request for new fan

• a. Please click on “BRPL FAN Replacement Scheme” on login page. You shall rerouted to the registration page.
• b. Please enter Alternate Mobile Number in Section - A. Updating alternate mobile number is compulsory to complete the registration process.
• c. Select the required make, type and model of BLDC FAN.
• d. Upload necessary documents like registered consumer identity proof issued by Government and click submit button after accepting "Terms and Conditions under FAN Replacement Scheme”.
• e. After clicking submit button a Registration Number will be generated.

Consumers can register for the scheme by submitting the required documents at Consumer Help Desk (CHD) of your divisional office.

Consumers can also directly chat with our representative over whatsapp (+91-8448792209) for any queries on scheme during office hours and also submit required documents for registration. BRPL shall do registration on consumer’s behalf and share the registration slip back on whatsapp.

Following documents are required for registration under the scheme –

• Govt issued Proof of Identity (POI) of registered consumer.
• NOC from registered consumer in case tenant is opting for scheme along with ID Proofs of registered consumer and tenant
• NOC from president of CGHS with Individual Energy Meter Number along with identity proof of consumer.

Additionally following forms are required:

The new BLDC Fan will be installed by OEM or authorized agency at the time of purchase only.

The consumers have to pay directly to the authorized implementing agencies before the delivery of the fans. The authorized implementing agencies shall inform the various available options for the payment after registration under the scheme.
