This shows the commitment of the organisation to the well being of the society. |

January | BRPL Energy Program 2014 BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) is partnering schools for its recently launched " Energy Program 2014", a novel initiative that seeks to promote essential messages to Delhiites. Under the initiative messages related to energy conservation, electrical safety and menace of power theft was shared among the students of partner schools. These students in-turn will help in spreading the messages among their families, friends and in their neighbourhood. Already around 15,000 students across 17 schools in South and West Delhi have participated in this initiative. |

December | BRPL trains over 250 electricians BRPL organised two electrician training programs in Vasant Kunj and Tilak Nagar on December 8 and 12, 2014, respectively. Over 250 electricians attended these programs. The key objective of this training program was to train and educate neighbourhood electricians, especially those nominated by RWAs. Besides conventional issues relating to Internal house wiring, Electrical safety, Prevention of short circuits and electrical fires and Importance of installing Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCB’s), they were also educated on Energy conserving appliances, LES, Helping Consumers in reducing electricity bills, Roof top solar installations, Net metering, TOD and Consumer portal, among others. December | BRPL organises Medical Camps in South and West Delhi BRPL organized a “Free eye camp” at Village Madanpur Khadar in the Sarita Vihar Divison on 23 December 2014, in association with ICARE Eye Hospital, Noida. Nearly 200 residents benefited from the eye camps. Free Spectacles and medicines were given to needy patients. |

April | BSES wins the D L Shah Quality Award BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) have been conferred the prestigious DL Shah Quality Awards 2014, organized by Quality Council of India. While BRPL was conferred the award for 'Quality Excellence in reduction of HT switchgear failure', BYPL won a commendation in 'Quality Excellence for MIDAS (Modular Integrated Distribution Automated system). BRPL also won the appreciation Award for 'Effective and Efficient Power Distribution Power Distribution Network Operations through SCADA' The awards were given during the Annual National Quality Conclave, organized in Delhi on April 23, 2014 |

September | BRPL awarded Greentech Safety Award 2013 BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) has been awarded the prestigious ‘Greentech Safety Award 2013’ in the Gold Category. The company bagged the award in the public utility service space. Mr Anil Kumar, Addl. Vice President and Head (QC & Safety) and Mr C.K.Sood, Addl.Vice President (O&M, South) received the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented in a glittering ceremony in Goa on September 4, 2013. |

February | Delhi Power Minister inaugurates BRPL’ next gen unmanned 66/11 KV Grid Power Minister for Delhi Haroon Yusuf, inaugurated BSES Rajdhani Power Limited’ (BRPL) 66/11 KV – 50 MVA Grid sub station in Raghubir Nagar in West Delhi. The Grid sub station, constructed within the premises of the Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, will further improve the power supply for over one lakh residents in areas like Rajouri Garden, Tagore Garden, Vishnu Garden, Shyam Nagar, Khayala, Raghubir Nagar, Vishal Enclave and Janta Colony with immediate affect. |

February | Delhi CM lays the foundation for Rs 26crore plan for South Delhi BRPL laid the foundation stone for its 79th Grid sub station in Jasola, South Delhi. The foundation stone for its latest initiative – a Rs 26 crore Grid sub station, its 79th, was laid, today, by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt Sheila Dikshit. This 66/11 KV Grid Sub Station in Jasola (near Sarita Vihar) will further improve the quality of power and water supply for lakhs of people in South Delhi. Shri Haroon Yusuf, (Hon’ble Minister for Power, GoNCTD), Shri Asif Mohamad Khan, (Hon’ble MLA), Smt Nitu Singh, (Councillor), and senior BRPL officials led by the CEO Shri Gopal Saxena were also present on the occasion. BRPL has been augmenting its distribution network to benefit all sections of the society in equal measure. The Grid will immensely benefit important establishments in the Jasola District Centre and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Pumping station in the area. It will also benefit residents in posh areas like Sarita Vihar, New Friends Colony, Sukhdev Vihar, Zakir Nagar, and Jasola, as also those in densely populated colonies like Shaheen Bagh, Abul Fazal Enclave and Madanpur Khadar |

January | West Delhi’s power & water supply to get Rs 30 crore boost Delhi Power Minister lays the foundation stone for BRPL’ 66/11 KV Grid The foundation stone for the 78th Grid Sub Station in BSES Rajdhani Power Limited’ (BRPL) area was laid by the Hon’ble Minister for Power, Delhi, Shri Haroon Yusuf. To be built at a cost of around Rs 30 crore, this 66/11 KV Grid Sub Station in Najafgargh will substantially improve the power and water supply for nearly 3 lakh people in West Delhi. Shri Mahabal Mishra, MP (Lok Sabha), MLA, Shri Sumesh Shokeen and Councilors Shri Kishan Pehelwan, Smt Indu Sharma, Shri Satinder Rana and senior BRPL officials led by its CEO Shri Gopal Saxena, were present on the occasion. Complimenting BRPL for planning to construct the Grid, Delhi’s Power Minister Shri Haroon Yusuf said, "Najafgargh and adjoining areas are witnessing an accelerated level of growth. I am sure setting-up this Grid Sub Station will help power this development". According to Mr Gopal Saxena, CEO BRPL, "This 66/11 KV – 50 MVA Najafgargh Grid is a symbol of partnership between BRPL and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Being part funded by DJB, this 66/11 KV Grid Station will be completed in a record time of 12 months. On completion, it will power the future needs of the fast developing areas of West Delhi, including Najafgargh, DJB’s pumping station in the locality and the DMRC staff quarters, DJB colony, Sainik Enclave, Anaj Mandi, Deenpur, Goela colonies |
